Easy Keto Chaffle Recipe

What Is A Chaffle?

A chaffle is just a waffle made of cheese and eggs, and they taste better than they sound if you’re not a fan of that egg taste.

Chaffles made with egg and mozzarella cheese taste like a waffle. Top them with butter and sugar-free syrup and they REALLY taste like a waffle.

Other Types of Chaffles You Can Create?

The possibilities are endless.

Use an egg and cheddar cheese to make a cheddar flavored savory chaffle that can be used as a hamburger bun or bread for a sandwich.

Add some cocoa powder to make brownie chaffles.

Add some pumpkin for pumpkin spice chaffles.

Garlic bread chaffles. Pizza chaffles. Dessert chaffles


1 egg

 ½ cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese, finely shredded works best

*You can add coconut flour or almond flour to give it a more bread-like texture if you like. 1 teaspoon of either is a good place to start and adjust to your preferences.


1. Spray the waffle iron with cooking spray and heat over medium heat.

2. Mix the egg and shredded cheese in a bowl.

3. Pour half of the mixture into the center of the waffle iron and close the lid.

4. Cook the waffle for 2-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

5. Remove the waffle from the iron.

6. Spray the waffle iron with more cooking spray and repeat the previous steps to make the second waffle.

I have two sugar-free syrups that I use and like.

Our family’s favorite is the Choc Zero Maple Syrup – it has no weird aftertaste. It’s thick and sticky like traditional maple syrup. Click the image to shop!


We also tried the Lakanto Maple Syrup, but it’s not quite as good or thick as Choc Zero brand.

You are going to want a mini waffle maker for this recipe.

I use the Dash Mini Waffle Maker. 

You can order from Amazon for CHEAP, you won’t regret the purchase!

The dash heats quickly, cooks quickly, takes up barely any space, and it comes in a variety of cute colors.
